A structured programme of peels, microneedling, and regenerative therapies that treats the cause of dullness, pigmentation and breakouts — not just the surface.
Most people come in describing one thing — the breakout that won’t settle, the patch of pigment that surfaced after a holiday, the texture that catches the light in photographs — and we usually find it’s a small cluster of things working together. Healthy skin behaves like a system. When one part of that system is disrupted, the surface tells you.
Skin health isn’t a single treatment. It’s a sequence of small, deliberate adjustments that let your skin do what it’s already trying to do.
At Restart Medical, our Skin Health & Clarity programme combines medical-grade peels, microneedling, regenerative injectables, and a properly prescribed home routine. The aim isn’t a single dramatic moment in clinic — it’s a steady reset that compounds over a course and holds with light maintenance.
Rather than relying on a single hero treatment, Skin Health & Clarity is built around layered modalities — chemical exfoliation to clear and brighten, microneedling to remodel texture and scars, and polynucleotides or medical facials to settle and repair. Each session targets a specific phase of the skin’s renewal cycle.
What that means in practice is a plan with intent. Your consultation maps the concerns you want addressed, the treatments most suited to your skin type, and the order they should be delivered in for the result to compound rather than compete.
A spa facial relaxes. A clinical programme changes how your skin behaves. Here’s how we’re set up.
Prescription-strength peels and serums you cannot buy at retail, used at the right depth for the right concern.
Skin sessions are delivered by trained clinical practitioners, not therapists working off a fixed menu.
Peels, needling, polynucleotides, medical facials — combined intentionally, not stacked at random.
Depth and acid strength are tuned to your Fitzpatrick type and tolerance, not a single default protocol.
You’ll get the number of sessions your skin needs — not a bundle you don’t.
What you do at home matters more than what we do in clinic. We write your routine, then refine it.
Clinics in Barnsley and London. Book wherever fits your schedule.
Questions between sessions go straight to your practitioner — not a generic inbox.
From the first assessment to long-term maintenance — a clear path, no surprises.
We map your concerns, review your medical and skincare history, and assess your skin under clinical lighting. You’ll leave with a written course plan and an indicative timeline.

For most courses we’ll prescribe a short priming routine — gentle exfoliants, barrier support, sometimes a low-dose retinoid — so the skin enters the first session in the right state.

Your first session is usually the most conservative — a starter peel or a settling medical facial. We use this session to calibrate tolerance and adjust the rest of the course around it.

The middle of your course is where most visible change happens. Depth and modality step up where appropriate — microneedling for texture, polynucleotides for repair, deeper peels for pigment.

After each session we apply calming serums, broad-spectrum SPF, and walk you through 48–72 hour aftercare. Most people return to normal routine the same day; some sessions ask for a quiet evening.

At the end of your course we re-assess against your starting photographs and set a maintenance rhythm — typically two to three top-ups a year — alongside an updated home routine.

Surface pigmentation, post-inflammatory marks and general dullness start to lift visibly across the first half of the course.
Microneedling and well-paced peels remodel the surface — pores look smaller, light catches the skin more evenly.
For clients with reactive or breakout-prone skin, the goal is fewer flare-ups and faster recovery — not a forced surface clear-out.
Old scars and stubborn pigment marks soften gradually with regenerative modalities and depth-appropriate needling.
You’ll leave with a prescribed home routine you can sustain — not a 12-step regime that quietly collapses by month two.
After the course, most clients hold results with two to three top-up sessions a year and their prescribed home regime.
Skin Health & Clarity treatments are evidence-based and delivered to medical clinical standards. Here’s how we keep them safe.
Acid strength, needle depth and energy are matched to your Fitzpatrick type, not a single default.
For deeper peels and first-time modalities we run a small test before going to a full session.
Microneedling cartridges and injectable consumables are sterile and single-use, every session.
Hygiene, consent and clinical record-keeping aligned with UK CQC standards across both sites.
You may be a good candidate if you:
Most commonly: acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, rosacea-related redness, enlarged pores and uneven texture, and general dullness or congestion. We tailor the modalities to your concern, not the other way round.
Most sessions are well tolerated. Peels are described as a brief warm tingle. Microneedling is done under topical numbing cream. Polynucleotides involve small injections — we use very fine needles and most clients describe minimal discomfort.
A typical course runs three to six sessions, spaced two to six weeks apart depending on modality and skin response. Some concerns — deeper scarring or stubborn pigment — benefit from an extended course.
For most sessions, very little. Mild peels and medical facials usually return to normal within hours. Microneedling can leave the skin pink for 24–48 hours. Deeper peels may flake gently for a few days, which we plan around your schedule.
Yes — modern skin protocols can be safely delivered across the Fitzpatrick range when calibrated correctly. The key is using the right depth, the right active, and a priming routine that respects melanin behaviour. This is exactly the conversation we have at consultation.
Avoid sun exposure for at least two to four weeks, pause retinoids and exfoliating acids for several days, and arrive with clean skin (no make-up). We’ll give you a written prep checklist after consultation.
Yes, in most cases. We’ll usually ask you to avoid heavy make-up for 12–48 hours after a session and to use mineral SPF daily for the duration of the course. Your home routine takes priority over make-up choices.
Some clients see brightness and texture changes after the first session; deeper concerns (scarring, set pigment) reveal more gradually across the full course and continue to improve for weeks afterwards as collagen remodels.
Pricing depends on the modalities in your course and the number of sessions recommended. We give transparent, fixed pricing at consultation — no hidden fees, no surprise upgrades.
